Rum (or Brandy) Slush
Just tweeted about this as one of my fave summer drinks today in response to @thehypercube’s Question of the day. Totally tasty – and you can try your own variants. Ingredients: 7 cups Water 2 cups white sugar 2 cups water 4 tea bags (black or orange pekoe) 1 12 oz can frozen orange juice thawed 2-3 cups of rum or brandy (or vodka or gin) Mix: Ginger Ale (sprite, 7up or sparkling lemonade work good too) Instructions (pretty easy – just need time to freeze it up – 24 hours or so) Boil the 7 cups or water and dissolve the 2 cups sugar. Gawd. Did as much as I could and it still didn’t seem like enough. Man. Some killer involvement by all contenders!
